Yes. Exclusive full rooftop hire is available from 80 guests or a minimum spend. Smaller groups can book a semi-private section of the rooftop instead.

Sweethearts Terraza is designed to keep you comfortable whatever the weather, with retractable awnings, heaters and cosy throw rugs to keep you warm and covered if needed.

So, come rain or shine, there’s no need for a back-up plan!

We recommend booking as early as possible, particularly for the busier times of year such as summer, Christmas and New Year, as these dates can fill up quickly. Booking a few months in advance is ideal if you have a particular space or setup in mind.

With our various venues across Potts Point Hotel, we can accommodate any group size across our pub (PPH), private function & show room (Level One), disco bar (Good Room) and rooftop bar & restaurant (Sweethearts Terraza). We’re able to cater for everything from intimate gatherings through to larger celebrations, so popular dates and areas can book out well in advance.

That said, if you’re planning something last minute, please don’t hesitate to get in touch!
We’ll always do our best to accommodate your event and find a space that works beautifully for your group and occasion.

We offer a range of event options, and whether a minimum spend applies will depend on the size and requirements of your booking.

For groups of more than 20 guests, or if you’d like to extend your booking beyond our standard 3-hour duration, a minimum spend will apply. This is tailored to your event and can vary depending on the number of guests, time of day, duration, space in the venue and the style of event you’re planning.

There’s no need to navigate the options on your own — please feel free to contact me anytime and I’d be more than happy to chat through the available options and pricing to find the best fit for your event!

Absolutely! We love the look and feel of our venue and think it already provides a beautiful backdrop for your celebration, but we’re more than happy for you to add your own personal touches.

Free-standing decorations such as balloons, florals and other styling elements are welcome, provided they don’t obstruct walkways or impact other guests.

To protect the venue, we’re unable to allow anything to be attached to the walls, furniture or other surfaces, so unfortunately tape, Blu Tack or similar adhesives aren’t permitted.

We’re always happy to work with you on ways to personalise the space while keeping everything looking fabulous!

CAKES

You’re very welcome to bring a cake for your celebration, and we don’t charge any cakeage.

You’re welcome to drop your cake off on the day of your event anytime after 10:30am. Just let our team know which level your event is taking place on, and we’ll be happy to store it in our cool room until you’re ready to celebrate.

Alternatively, you’re welcome to bring the cake with you when you arrive for your booking. If you’d like somewhere to display it, just let our friendly team know and we’ll be happy to assist. We’ll also provide serviettes and cutlery for you to enjoy the cake with your guests. 🎂

We offer a range of options on our Rooftop, including Full Venue Hire, Half Venue Hire, our Terrace and Pergola sections, so we can accommodate different styles and sizes of events.

To ensure all guests can enjoy the Rooftop atmosphere, personal music, DJs, speeches and organised games are reserved for exclusive Full Venue Hires. This gives you the freedom to personalise the space and make the celebration your own, without impacting other guests.

While we’re unable to accommodate live music on the Rooftop due to DA noise restrictions, our sound system is perfect for DJs and curated playlists during exclusive Full Venue Hire.

For Exclusive events , we also have DJ equipment and microphones available to hire, along with linkable TVs on stands that are perfect for presentations, slideshows, videos, branding or other visual content throughout your event.

We’d be happy to chat through the different options and help find the setup that best suits your event!

We’d love to welcome your group in for drinks! As we are a licensed venue and need to comply with Responsible Service of Alcohol requirements, beverage packages do require a minimum food spend per person.

If you’re looking for a drinks-only option, you’re very welcome to set up a bar tab for your guests instead. Simply provide a credit card, let our team know your preferred spend limit, and choose which beverages you’d like included — such as beer, wine, house spirits, cocktails, seltzers or a combination.

This can be a great option if you’d prefer to keep things casual and give your guests a little more flexibility with their drinks.

We’re pretty flexible! We’re always happy to accommodate additional guests where possible. As your group grows, we may need to look at your seating arrangement, available space and any minimum spend requirements, as these can vary depending on the size of your group and the area you’ve booked.

Some of our spaces have maximum capacities, so we always recommend getting in touch with your Event Manager as soon as you know your numbers have changed. We’ll be more than happy to explore the available options and find the best setup for your group!

Tell us as early as you can. If numbers outgrow the rooftop or if your requirements change, we can work together to see if another one of our venues (Level One, Good Room or PPH) are more suitable.

Absolutely! We’re happy to work with external suppliers for exclusive hire events, and you’re welcome to bring in certain entertainment, styling and decorations to personalise your event.

We always recommend discussing any external suppliers with us before making arrangements, as some items may require specific space, access to power or particular setup requirements. We can then make sure everything will work safely and comfortably within your chosen space.

We also have some noise restrictions that apply to certain levels of the venue, so if you’re considering entertainment such as a DJ, band or other amplified music, it’s best to chat with us before booking to ensure we can accommodate your plans.

As we are a fully licensed venue with our own in-house catering, we’re unable to accommodate external catering companies unless approved in writing by the venue. This would generally only be considered where the catering is for something we’re unable to provide in-house.

Our team is always happy to work with you and your suppliers to make sure everything comes together seamlessly for your event!

As we’re a licensed venue, children are very welcome as long as they remain under the direct supervision of a parent at all times. As part of our house policy, this supervision must be provided by a parent rather than another guardian or accompanying adult.

Children must stay at least 1.5 metres away from the bar and be accompanied by their parent if they need to use the bathroom. Children will also need to leave the venue by 9:30pm.

We also have highchairs available for little ones — just let our friendly staff know on the day and we’ll be happy to assist.

Unfortunately, we do not allow dogs at the rooftop bar.

Potts Point Hotel only allows dogs in our outdoor area of the ground floor pub (PPH). We simply ask that all dogs remain on a lead at all times and that owners are mindful of other guests.

If your furry friend becomes disruptive, we kindly ask that they be removed from the venue. Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted in any of the indoor areas of the hotel.

Absolutely! We’re very happy to cater to a range of dietary requirements and our Head Chef is always happy to work with you to ensure your guests are well looked after.

Just let our Event Manager know about any dietary requirements when making your booking, so we can discuss the best options with you. Some set menus have limited flexibility for certain dietary requirements, so providing this information in advance allows our kitchen team to plan accordingly.

For specialty requirements such as Halal or Kosher, these may need to be sourced through specialised suppliers and can incur an additional cost. We’ll always discuss this with you upfront so there are no surprises.
